I am using CoolTerm 1.9.0 (build 948) on Windows 10 and am very happy with it, user friendly and highly functional.

My system has two ports, COM7 and COM3. When CoolTerm starts it selects by default COM7 but I like to select by default COM3. Any suggestion what to do? E.g. a way to save the default port, or a desktop shortcut with command line flag to tell CoolTerm what port to use.

Problem solved. I upgraded to 2.0.1 and the port is now saved in the shortcut.

I'm glad you figured it out. Yes, v2.0.0 and newer lets you save the port with the default configuration.
